National Minimum Wage rates to increase from 1st October, 2010
The National Minimum Wage rates are due to increase from 1st October, 2010 as follows:
• For workers aged 21 and over:
the rate will increase to £5.93 from £5.80;
• For workers aged 18-20:
the rate will increase to £4.92 from £4.83;
• For workers aged 16 and 17:
the rate will increase to £3.64 from £3.57.

Looking Forward to 2010!
As we head towards 2010, there are plenty of reasons to be optimistic. Just this week it was announced that the UK business community is at its strongest since July last year. Recent reports have also suggested that contract roles have increased, permanent roles have remained stable and unemployment in the UK is slowly starting to decline.
